Elaebi Amaremo (Eli the Great) returns in this artwork to assert the unbroken spirit of the youth represented by silhouettes of male and female protesters, who though gagged and blinded respectively, refused to abandon the protests against police brutality. In the untitled work, Amaremo also presents a broken chain on a fist to foreground the theme of power in tenacity. Commenting on the artwork, Amaremo states, “We won’t stay silent, we won’t stay blind.’’
